Rig Sans

Rig Sans is a streamlined geometric typeface, which speaks in a confident, affable tone. Its open, clean structure lends text a neutral, transparent quality. Each individual character is designed to find its most robust form, with a focus on simplicity and legibility. Its bulletproof letter shapes have been adapted from forms, originally drawn to withstand 3D distortions.

Each character was subsequently refined and the font expanded to cover all European languages. The generous x-height, clipped terminals and wide apertures enable Rig Sans to shine, both in print and on screen. This unique approach has resulted in an original sans serif rendition, and an adaptive, durable type family. Rig Sans comprises of eight weights and accompanying italics.

Distinguishing Features

The problem that many sans serif fonts run into is the similarity of their I, l, 1 These can look indistinguishable from each other when reduced to a single stoke. Rig Sans has a distinct I, l and 1 plus a dotted zero for clear differentiation between characters.

Rig Sans comprises of eight weights each with accompanying italics. Each weight contains 514 glyphs. This website is set in Rig Sans Light, Semibold and Blacks styles, hosted by Adobe Fonts.
