Podberry Packaging Illustrations

Vibrant, pattern-driven illustrations bring Podberry’s crunchy pea snacks to life.

Overview

After discovering my Tea Patterns project, food and drink agency LUX commissioned me to create illustrations for Podberry, a new range of freeze-dried pea snacks developed with Bruce Farms.

The brand’s logo and typographic style were already established, allowing me to focus purely on the illustrative and pattern work.

Method

Each flavour required a distinct yet cohesive design. I illustrated flowing pea shoots, pods, and leaves, incorporating bold ingredients like bright chillies, glossy balsamic drops, ham hock, parmesan, and truffle.

The geometric-inspired patterns create a sense of movement and freshness, capturing the vibrancy of Podberry’s natural ingredients

Outcome

The final illustrations brought Podberry’s packaging to life with bold, dynamic patterns, making the brand stand out in the competitive snack market.

Within six months, it secured nationwide listings with major UK retailers and was recognised with awards, including ‘Best SME Brand’ at the 2020 Marketing Star Awards and ‘Best New Snacking Product’ at the 2019 LUX Life Awards.

A talented team of strategists and creatives steered the creation of this food brand from new product development to devising the brand itself.
